Travel, Learn, Live…
Without much debate, we (Jen and I) coincided on the words to include in the name of our blog, but to decide the order in which to use them we have had to talk it over several times.
At the end we came to this conclusion: “Travel, Learn, Live.” Here is the explanation of our point of view:
TRAVEL, is not only to move physically from one place to another, given that we also travel through books, movies, magazines, music, conversations, food, etc. but by moving physically we expose all of our senses to these new experiences that allow us to learn.
LEARN, not only about the world, from the different cultures (language, history, traditions, music, food, etc.) and places, but also about ourselves. This knowledge helps us understand and tolerate the differences between cultures, other points of views, and it gives us the opportunity to challenge our opinions, our points of view and our status quo so we can explore other paths and options.
All of these experiences help us define how we want to LIVE.
Viajar, Aprender, Vivir…
Sin discusión alguna coincidimos (Jen y yo) en las palabras que incluimos en el nombre de nuestro blog, pero para definir el orden de cual palabra va primero hemos tenido que platicarlo varias veces.
Al final llegamos a esta conclusión: “Viajar, Aprender, Vivir.” Aquí va la explicación desde nuestro punto de vista:
VIAJAR, no solo es movernos físicamente de un lugar a otro, ya que viajamos a través de libros, películas, revistas, música, conversaciones, comida, etc. pero el movernos de un lugar a otro en persona nos permite exponer todos nuestros sentidos a estas nuevas experiencias que nos permiten aprender.
APRENDER, no solo del mundo, de sus diferentes culturas (idioma, historia, costumbres, música, comida, etc.) y lugares, pero también de nosotros mismos. Este aprendizaje nos ayuda a entender y tolerar las diferencias entre culturas, los diferentes puntos de vistas, y nos da una oportunidad de retar nuestras opiniones, nuestros puntos de vista y nuestro status quo y así explorar otros caminos y opciones.
En conjunto estas experiencias nos ayudan a definir como queremos VIVIR.
